A su vez, la Encuesta Mundial de Salud Escolar demostró que, en Argentina, el sobrepeso en adolescentes de 13 a 15 años aumentó del 24,5% al 28,6% entre 2007 y 2012.

Consulta del Relator sobre derecho a la alimentación: ENTs y derechos humanos

El pasado 10 de julio participamos en la consulta del Relator Especial de Naciones Unidas sobre el derecho a la alimentación. Nuestro foco estuvo en la alimentación saludable y la necesidad de regular las prácticas comerciales, que promueven una alimentación no nutritiva y que constituye un factor de incidencia para las Enfermedades Crónicas No Transmisibles (ENTs). El documento fue presentado junto con FIC Argentina.

Los Relatores Especiales son expertos independientes designados por el Consejo de Derechos Humanos para examinar e informar acerca de temas de derechos humanos. El Relator Especial sobre el Derecho a la Alimentación centrará su próximo informe a la Asamblea General de la ONU en el tema de la nutrición, y a estos fines, abrió un proceso de consulta para recabar información e ideas para tener en cuenta en su informe.
