Global Gorvernance

We seek to influence the global frameworks that determine development processes and public policies. Our goal is to ensure transparency, participation and human rights and the environment protection in decision-making at a local and international level. To this end, we monitor the actions of actors that mobilize resources for infrastructure and development, especially the IFIs (International Financial Institutions).

Main activities

  • Monitoring projects financed by the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank and other development financing actors.
  • Monitoring Chinese investments in Argentina and Latin America, following on progress setbacks, and political discussions around the projects.
  • Public-private partnerships, human rights and business and its regulatory framework research, at a national and international level.
  • Regional Group on Financing and Infrastructure (GREFI) participation, aiming to influence the processes of international financial institutions and development banks, and contribute to the improvement of transparency policies and information access in infrastructure financing.

Area Coordinator › Gonzalo Roza

Gonzalo has a degree in International Relations from the Siglo 21 University of Córdoba and has a Diploma in Entrepreneurship Management and a MOOC course in Development Project Management.

He joined Fundeps in mid-2013 and currently serves as Coordinator of the foundation’s Global Governance Area. He also served as regional coordinator of the Secretariat of the Coalition for Human Rights in Development between 2016 and 2018. Previously, he worked in the Area of ​​International Financial Institutions of the Center for Human Rights and Environment (CEDHA).

He is a secondary school teacher and author and co-author of papers and articles on topics of Argentine Foreign Policy, Transparency, International Financial Institutions and Accountability Mechanisms.
